About Keith Pillich

Keith PillichKeith W. Pillich is a 1976 graduate of The University of Oklahoma, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Environmental Science. In 2007, Pillich earned a certificate in toxicology, hazardous materials, and hazard communication from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. Pillich is currently seeking a Master’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health with a Concentration in Environmental Management from Columbia Southern University, in addition to completing requirements to become a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional.

In 1986, Keith W. Pillich began working an Environmental Inspector under the employ of Vlado Engineering, a New York-based firm where he continues to work as a Safety Engineer and Industrial Hygienist. Between 2009 and 2010, Pillich contracted for the US Armed Forces, completing inspections, surveys, and monitoring and establishing protective measures against lead and radiation, mold, and asbestos. Pillich traveled around the world for his assignments, including extensively in the Middle East, and earned a Distinguished Service Award from the U.S. Army.

Keith W. Pillich is a member of The American Society of Safety Engineers, the American Industrial Hygiene Association, and the Buffalo chapter of the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Pillich is licensed by both the New York State Department of Labor and OSHA to teach courses in environmental and industrial safety, as well as perform inspections.

A resident of Amherst, New York, Keith W. Pillich frequently donates to the Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and Aspire of Western New York. He also volunteers with MAD DADS of Greater Buffalo.
